MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Vermont state Treasurer Beth Pearce is seeking proposals for up to $7 million dollars in local investments during the coming months.

It’s the second round of such investments since the Legislature in 2014 created a Local Investment Advisory Committee to provide input to the treasurer.

In the first round, $3.75 million in state investments were put toward local housing, energy and neighborhood revitalization projects.

In the new round, eligible groups include municipalities, school districts, social service providers, state agencies and authorities, and regional planning commissions.
