PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police say a double shooting in west Philadelphia has left one teen dead and another seriously injured.

The gunfire broke out just before 11 p.m. Sunday.

Police say a 17-year-old boy was found shot multiple times and died at a hospital. Another 17-year-old boy was shot in the thigh, but was able to run from the scene and get help inside a home. Chief Inspector Scott Small says officers followed a blood trail for about two blocks.

The second teen was taken to a hospital, where he’s in critical condition.

Small says 17 shots were fired from two guns during the shootout.

No arrests have been made.
