WEST BABYLON, N.Y. (AP) - Police say they’ve arrested a New York City man in a 2009 fatal robbery attempt on Long Island.

Investigators say 28-year-old Daniel Greenspan was arrested Sunday near his Manhattan home in the fatal shooting of 32-year-old Michael Sinclair in West Babylon. He’s charged with second-degree murder.

Newsday reports (https://nwsdy.li/1jXSNy9 ) that earlier 27-year-old David Belton pleaded guilty to second-degree attempted murder in the case. During his trial, he testified that Greenspan put together a plan to drive Sinclair from Brooklyn to Suffolk County to rob him.

Belton testified that Greenspan shot Sinclair several times. Greenspan’s girlfriend is awaiting trial in the case.

It’s unclear if Greenspan has an attorney who could comment on the charges.
