SEATTLE (AP) - Emergency officials say a man has been rescued after falling off a pier on the Seattle waterfront.

KOMO-TV reports ( ) that firefighters and Coast Guard rescue boats were called to the scene along Pier 36 at about 5:45 a.m. on Monday.

The man was found clinging to a piling and was pulled out about an hour after he fell in.

The man was hypothermic with barnacle cuts on his body. He was taken to the hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.

State ferry arrivals and departures were delayed briefly during the rescue operation.
