MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) - Police say a 27-year-old man was shot and killed in Medford’s first reported homicide in two years.

Police say multiple witnesses told them that one of the men shot Deleon in the chest.

Deleon was dead when medical personnel arrived. The investigation is ongoing.

Court records show that Deleon was scheduled to go on trial Thursday on methamphetamine and cocaine charges. He pleaded not guilty to the charges on Aug. 28.
