MILWAUKEE (AP) - Milwaukee junior guard Jordan Johnson is a Horizon League co-player of the week.

Johnson shares the weekly honor with Oakland junior guard Kay Felder, the league announced Monday.

It’s the first time Johnson has won the award in his career. He led the Panthers to two wins last week.

Johnson scored 22 points on 6-of-10 shooting and hit all eight of his free throw attempts Wednesday as Milwaukee won at Wisconsin, 68-67. It was the Panthers’ first win against the Badgers since 1992.

On Sunday, Johnson directed a Milwaukee offense that scored a school-record 125 points in a 51-point win over Judson. Johnson did not attempt a field goal, but finished with nine assists and no turnovers.

Johnson ranks first in Division 1 with 88 total assists in 11 games.
