COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Average gas prices in Ohio have risen slightly from a week ago but remain below $2.

The state average was about $1.91 for a gallon of regular gas in Monday’s survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and WEX Inc. That’s up about only about 3 cents from a week ago, but about 15 cents cheaper than a month ago. The state average this time last year was about $2.43.

Ohio’s average gas prices for regular fuel also remained below the national average of $2.01. The national average was about $2.56 at the same time last year.

Refinery production outpacing demand combined with increasing gasoline inventories is helping to keep prices low.
