ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say the man who died in a one-car crash on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in New Jersey over the weekend was a 23-year-old from New York City.

Parkway police say Michael Dunstan III was killed in the crash early Saturday on the northbound side of the parkway in Englewood Cliffs, just north of the George Washington Bridge.

Police say a 27-year-old New York City man appeared to lose control of a 1998 BMW after hitting a rumble strip. Investigators say the car struck the guardrail and a tree before it flipped over.

Crews worked for more than an hour and 40 minutes to remove the driver, who was taken to a hospital in critical condition. A 24-year-old passenger was also hospitalized in critical condition.
