NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol says a woman walking along a road in North Charleston has died after being struck by two vehicles.

Sgt. Bob Beres tells local media the accident happened about 7 p.m. Sunday. The woman was walking along the road when she was hit by a car and then struck a second time by a pickup truck.

Forty-seven-year-old Trucella King of North Charleston died a short time later at a local hospital.
