NIXON, Texas (AP) - South Texas has had a minor earthquake.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the 3.0 magnitude earthquake happened at 6:35 a.m. CST Monday.

USGS says the quake was centered about 14 miles east of Nixon, in Gonzales County. The area is 42 miles northwest of Victoria.

The Gonzales County Sheriff’s Office had no immediate reports of damage of injuries.
