MADISON, Ind. (AP) - A southern Indiana county has endorsed a settlement that ends its dispute with a neighboring county over riverboat casino revenues.

Jefferson County’s commissioners last week unanimously approved the settlement that ends their litigation against Switzerland County over riverboat gaming revenue intended for economic development projects in the two Ohio River counties.

The Madison Courier reports (https://bit.ly/1UeTJeM ) the settlement calls for Switzerland County officials to deliver to Jefferson County within 10 days about $50,000 in economic development monies they’re currently holding.

Jefferson County’s commissioners will in turn dismiss their lawsuit filed in July against Switzerland County. That suit sought damages after Jefferson County failed to receive some riverboat revenue from two quarters of this year.

Switzerland County officials signed the proposed settlement agreement on Nov. 20.
