SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) - The Spartanburg Police Department is looking for possible witnesses who might have information about a shooting at a gas station that left one man dead.

Capt. Regina Nowak tells local media that 38-year-old Demond J. Richardson was shot multiple times Friday night near a south Spartanburg gas station. He was taken to Spartanburg Medical Center where he later died.

When officers responded to the scene, Richardson was able to tell them who he thought the shooter was.

Video footage from the gas station shows Richardson and another man in an altercation in front of the store. At one point, the second man pulls out a gun and steals Richardson’s moped, leaving north on South Church Street.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
