FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - A California man has pleaded guilty to stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from an auto service center at the naval Air Station in Lemoore.

The Fresno Bee reports (https://bit.ly/1lLAUEt ) that a 50-year-old Hanford resident stole about $111,900 while working as a supervisor at the auto center. Court documents say he stole the money incrementally over 2 1/2 years by accepting cash from customers who purchased gasoline but entering a lower amount for the transaction.

Documents say he covered the discrepancy in the amount of gasoline purchased by changing the dates or amounts of gas delivered to the center.

His sentencing hearing is in May. He’s facing up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
