OXFORD, Ohio (AP) - Chris Bryant scored 14 of his career-high 16 points after halftime and Eric Washington led with 19 as Miami (Ohio) rallied to defeat Jackson State 64-53 on Tuesday night.

The RedHawks (6-4) went nearly nine minutes without scoring in the first half, shooting 24 percent, as Jackson State took a 24-12 lead. But Jackson State (4-7) was also having shooting woes, hitting just 28 percent in the first half, and Miami (Ohio) rallied to within 24-17 by the break.

Bryant scored five points in two seconds to ignite a 15-6 run, making it a one-point game, 40-39. Geovonie McKnight, who stole an inbounds pass to fuel Bryant’s 5-0 run, made three free throws and assisted Abdoulaye Harouna’s jumper that gave the RedHawks the lead 44-42.

Raeford Worsham and Chace Franklin scored 12 points each to lead Jackson State. Worsham added six steals and Franklin five assists.
