OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt has charged a 27-year old Okmulgee woman with caretaker abuse.

Pruitt’s office announced the charge Wednesday against Whitney Symone Brown, who worked at Okmulgee Terrace as a care aide for the developmentally disabled.

Brown is accused of pushing a resident out of a shower room and onto the floor, causing the patient to hit her head. Brown also allegedly continued to kick the resident while she was on the floor.

Brown is charged with one count of abuse by caretaker. If convicted, she faces up to 10 years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines.

No attorney information was listed for Brown in Okmulgee County court records.
