SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) - Prosecutors have added more charges against a California man they say abducted, harmed and killed several cats.

KNTV-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1T1El4k ) that 24-year-old Robert Farmer of San Jose now faces a total of 10 felony animal abuse charges. He is also charged with being under the influence of methamphetamine during his October 8 arrest.

June Rovai is one of several victims who spoke out before Farmer’s Tuesday court appearance. She says she thought her cat, Traveler, was lost until investigators said they found his black-and-white collar in Farmer’s car, along with a cat’s carcass.

Miriam Petrova says her cat, GoGo, was last seen in surveillance video that shows Farmer trying to catch him.

Farmer has not entered a plea and his attorney did not comment on the case.
