FEDERAL WAY, Wash. (AP) - Two women died in a crash on Interstate 5 near Federal Way after a car slammed into theirs as it sat stalled on the side of the road.

Officials with the Washington State Patrol say the victims were inside a Honda Civic that had broken down early Thursday.

The car reportedly had its hazard lights on when a Mustang driven by a 29-year-old Renton woman slammed into it.

The Patrol said the 31-year-old driver and 51-year-old passenger in the Honda both died at the scene.

The driver of the Mustang suffered minor injuries, was treated at a hospital and then booked into the King County Jail on investigation of vehicular homicide.

Anyone who witnessed anything related to the crash is asked to contact Detective Vik Mauro at [email protected] or 425-401-7746.
