NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A proposed nine-story apartment building targets another parking lot in downtown New Orleans for the high-rise development.

NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune reports (https://bit.ly/1OalENM) the project, called “Canal Crossing,” would consume an entire city block at 1551 Canal St., across from the shuttered Jung Hotel undergoing a $130 million renovation and the former University of New Orleans tower being converted to a hotel.

A 400,000-square-foot, nine-story residential building would house 330 apartments with a pet park on the roof. A 187,000-square-foot parking garage would provide 500 parking spaces.

Provident Realty Advisors of Dallas is the developer.
