LONDON (AP) - Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew says investment by American sports tycoons would enable the Premier League club to “look forward to a future with expectation.”

David Blitzer and Josh Harris, who co-own the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers and the NHL’s New Jersey Devils, have been in talks with Palace for more than a year about buying a stake.

Full details are yet to be disclosed but Pardew on Thursday indicated a deal is expected to be concluded.

Pardew says he has “been involved to some degree with Josh and David. They have a passion for this football club which has grown.”

At a news conference, Pardew said Blitzer and Harris “bring experience of other sports and managing sports clubs bigger than ourselves … the backing does mean improvements to our ground.”
