BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - A former officer at the Dawson County Correctional Facility has been found guilty of sexual assault for allegedly having an intimate relationship with an inmate.

The Billings Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/229iL4f ) that Kristina Marie Boysdos was convicted Wednesday of felony sexual assault without consent and other misdemeanor charges. Montana state law says inmates can’t give consent to sexual contact.

Dawson County Attorney Olivia Rieger says Boysdos began a relationship with inmate Jeffrey Thomas Kecskes earlier this year.

The two were accused of having sexual contact at the jail, including inside Kecskes’ cell.

Boysdos left her job before she was charged in June.

She is out on bond and awaiting sentencing.
