FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Gov. Matt Bevin has appointed three women to posts within his office.

Catherine Gatewood Easley will be deputy chief of staff for external affairs, Jessica Ditto will be communications director, and Stephanie Nelson will be director of scheduling.

A news release from Bevin’s office Wednesday said Easley has worked as communications director for U.S. Reps. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, Andy Barr of Kentucky and Bob Gibbs of Ohio and worked in the congressional offices of former U.S. Rep. Anne Northup of Louisville and U.S. Sen. Jim Bunning of Kentucky.

Ditto was communications director for Bevin’s campaign and transition office and also worked for former Gov. Ernie Fletcher and the Republican Party of Kentucky.

Nelson handles scheduling for Bevin, Lt. Gov. Jenean Hampton and first lady Glenna Bevin and has experience in nonprofit association work.
