GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - The Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids has broken several records in 2015, including its annual passenger travel record weeks before the end of the calendar year.

More than 2.3 million passengers visited Ford Airport through November 2015. That’s over a 9.5 percent increase compared to the same period in 2014.

The Grand Rapids Press (https://bit.ly/1Rq1iAL ) reports that November 2015 was also the first time the airport served more than 200,000 passengers in November.

Ford Airport passed the 1 million passenger mark through the end of May 2015, earlier in the year than any other time in the facility’s history.

The airport also broke its all-time monthly record in July, with more than 234,000 passengers.
