BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - Western Kentucky has added Tennessee forward Jabari McGhee, the second former Volunteer to join the Hilltoppers this year.

The 6-foot-7 McGhee averaged 4.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 12 minutes in 14 career games for Tennessee before announcing earlier this month that he would transfer. He will have 2½ years of eligibility remaining when he begins playing midway through the 2016-17 season per NCAA transfer rules.

McGhee follows 6-8 forward Willie Carmichael, who transferred from Tennessee to WKU this spring and will be eligible next season. Hilltoppers coach Ray Harper said in a release Thursday that he was “excited” to have McGhee, Carmichael and 6-7 JUCO transfer Phabian Glasco in the program and added that McGhee “is a great athlete and a high-energy, high-motor guy.”
