HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - Gov. Tom Wolf’s inaugural committee is donating $1 million to two central Pennsylvania charitable foundations.

In announcing the donations Thursday, Wolf said $500,000 each will be paid to The Foundation for Enhancing Communities, based in Harrisburg, and the York County Community Foundation.

The Foundation for Enhancing Communities works to stimulate philanthropy and enhance the quality of life by funding a wide range of community needs.

The York County Community Foundation gives grants to local nonprofit groups and scholarships to York County students.
