BAY SHORE, N.Y. (AP) - Developers aim to put an industrial park at the site of the former Entenmann’s bakery in Bay Shore, New York.

The famed baker operated on Long Island for more than a century before the facility was closed in 2014.

According to Newsday (https://nwsdy.li/1PcTLDP ), a $14.2 million deal with Suffolk County Industrial LLC of Melville would convert the defunct factory into leased space for food and beverage companies.

The Town of Islip’s (EYE’-slihps) Industrial Development Agency voted this week to approve incentives. A public hearing could be held next month.

William Entenmann founded the company in Brooklyn in 1898 and moved to Bay Shore in 1905.

Entenmann’s parent company is now Bimbo Bakeries USA, the U.S. arm of Mexico’s Grupo Bimbo.
