NEW LONDON, Conn. (AP) - Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run near Connecticut College.

New London police said in a statement that the man was found shortly after 2 a.m. Friday on the side of the roadway of Route 32, near the entrance to the college. The man, whose name has not been released, was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators say the victim was struck by a vehicle that left the scene after the crash.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has information to contact the New London police department.
