SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - South Salt Lake police are investigating a possible hate crime after someone spray painted swastikas onto a Middle Eastern restaurant.

The owners of Middle Eastern Pastry & Deli found the symbols painted on the deli’s front window and door on Wednesday morning. They have since been removed.

Police spokesman Gary Keller says video surveillance shows a male with his face covered approaching the deli.
