SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Utah’s unemployment rate inched down in November to 3.5 percent.

That’s one percentage point lower than Utah’s October rate.

The state Department of Workforce Service announced the rate on Friday and said about 51,500 residents were unemployed and looking for work in November.

The department said the national jobless rate remained unchanged last month at 5 percent.
