ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (AP) - A drug dealer operating in Caledonia County won’t see prison time thanks to a plea agreement with prosecutors after she was convicted of selling a fatal dose of heroin to a 47-year-old man.

The Caledonian Record reports (https://bit.ly/1NWztO0 ) 27-year-old Lynn Gelsleichter agreed to plead guilty to a felony charge of sale of a regulated drug with death resulting in exchange for a suspended sentence of two to five years.

Prosecutors say the Ryegate resident sold a fatal dose of heroin to Mark DeGreenia for $80 on June 28, 2014. He died at a home in Groton that same day.

Under the plea agreement’s terms, Gelsleichter must continue drug treatment and comply with other standard conditions of her 10-year probation.

Gelsleichter faced a possible prison sentence of up to 20 years.
