MIAMI (AP) - A South Florida woman who texted her boyfriend “Driving drunk woo” minutes before a crash that killed her passenger has been sentenced to four years in prison.

The Miami Herald (https://goo.gl/VKbSZi ) reports that Mila Dago pleaded guilty Friday to DUI manslaughter.

Prosecutors say Dago was driving a rented Car2Go Smart Car in August 2013 following a night out at Miami bars with her friend, Irina Reinoso. Dago had been fighting with her boyfriend and texting him throughout the night and early morning.

Authorities say Dago ran a red light and crashed into a pickup truck. Reinoso died at the scene, and the truck driver sustained minor injuries.

Tests recorded Dago’s blood alcohol content at 0.178 percent. Florida law considers a driver impaired at 0.08 percent.
