COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Ameryst Alston scored 27 points and Kelsey Mitchell added 25 to help No. 10 Ohio State beat Princeton 90-70 on Friday night.

Alston made 10 of 16 field goals and had six assists. Mitchell was 4 of 6 from 3-point range and 10 of 15 overall. The Buckeyes (7-3) have won three straight, outscoring opponents by an average of 24 points.

Michelle Miller led Princeton (9-2) with 21 points. The Tigers had won seven straight.


BOSTON (AP) - Akyah Taylor scored 17 points and Aerial Powers had 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead Michigan State past Northeastern.

Tori Jankoska added 14 points for the Spartans (8-2). Francesca Sally led the Huskies (5-4) with 14 points.

The game was part of the Winter Showdown, with the men’s teams playing Saturday and the hockey teams squaring off Saturday night.
