MIAMI (AP) - Advocates for Miami’s homeless are paying tribute to 108 people who died homeless in the last year.

The Miami Herald (https://hrld.us/1OdLb8T ) reports religious leaders and others held a candlelight vigil on Friday in downtown Miami.

Advocates shared stories about Miami’s homeless population and encouraged others to do more to help people in need.

The event was part of National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day.
