PATERSON, N.J. (AP) - Three men were shot and wounded during two armed robberies in northern New Jersey that authorities say may be related.

Paterson police say the first robbery occurred early Saturday. Officers responding to reports of shots fired initially could not find a victim at the scene, but later found a 22-year-old Haledon man at a Lake Street home.

The man told police he was standing outside a car on 12th Avenue when two armed men robbed and shot him. He was treated at a hospital for a leg injury.

The second shooting occurred about two hours later outside a party at a city home. Two men were shot in the leg and were hospitalized in stable condition, but further detail on their injuries were not disclosed.
