BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota’s congressional delegation says the University of North Dakota has been awarded a $50,000 federal grant to study and develop new technologies for aircraft and spacecraft.

The delegation says the aim of the research to make flying safer in the earth’s atmosphere or in outer space.

The funds come from the National Science Foundation.
