SCITUATE, R.I. (AP) - Police have arrested a Westerly, Rhode Island man in neighboring Stonington, Connecticut as a fugitive stemming from a deadly September crash that killed his 16-year-old niece.

Officers arrested 28-year-old Obdulio Rosado Friday at a Stonington apartment, the Providence Journal reported (https://bit.ly/1mtu06V ) Saturday. He was wanted for driving to endanger, death resulting, from the Sept. 21 crash on Interstate 95 in Hopkinton.

Police say Rosado was traveling at least 88 mph when his car struck another vehicle and rolled over multiple times. Rosado was seriously injured and taken to a hospital by medical helicopter.

His passenger, Felicia Bolduc of Westerly, was killed at the scene.

Police say Rosado has been “hiding” since being released from the hospital.

There was no phone listing for Rosado. It’s unclear whether he has an attorney.
