BLOOMFIELD, Ky. (AP) - A man has been charged with murder in connection with the killing of a Bloomfield teen.

Media outlets report 18-year-old Rasheed Wickliffe was found dead early Tuesday in Bloomfield. Two young men have been arrested in connection with Wickliffe’s death. One of them, 18-year-old Alexander Roberts, has been charged with murder.

The incident occurred along Taylorsville Road near the Bloomfield post office. Nelson County Sheriff Ed Mattingly says investigators initially thought they were working a shooting, but discovered Wickliffe actually had a lethal puncture wound to the neck. Wickliffe was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mattingly says Wickliffe’s neck was punctured during a fight, but won’t say what kind of weapon was used. He says the incident was the result of a drug deal that went bad.
