CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A Casper man who tried to run over and kill his wife has been sentenced to 35 to 52 years in prison.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://goo.gl/KjOnNb ) 43-year-old Clint Webb was sentenced Wednesday for attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault and property destruction. Webb, who must pay nearly $4,000 in restitution, declined to speak at the hearing.

According to court documents, Webb’s wife was on her way home from a restaurant June 30, 2014, when her husband ran a stop sign and rammed her vehicle. She got out of her car, which was disabled, and saw Webb go around the block and drive over the curb and onto the lawn of a home, where he nearly struck her.

Prosecutor Dan Itzen says Webb’s criminal history revolves around domestic violence.
