READING, Pa. (AP) - A fire tore through a garage and shed in central Pennsylvania, killing up to 100 racing pigeons.

The Reading Eagle reports (https://bit.ly/1l7TZAx) crews responded to the Pike Township blaze at about 8:15 p.m.

Oley Fire Company Chief Todd Kegerise says no one was hurt and the fire’s cause is under investigation, but appears to be electrical.

The garage’s owner, Scott Fisher, says the pigeons he lost were his breeders and he “lost everything.”

Fisher says he’ll sift through the debris in coming days and he’s “praying a couple birds will shoot out.”
