FLINT, Mich. (AP) - A Flint woman whose young twins died about two months apart faces up to life in prison after making a plea deal.

The Flint Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1XxSH2M ) Crystal Shelton-Randolph pleaded no contest Monday to second-degree murder in the death of 2-year-old Jordan Shelton. A no contest plea isn’t an admission of guilt but is treated as such for sentencing, which is scheduled Dec. 23.

Shelton-Randolph initially faced first-degree murder and other charges after Jordan died in November 2013 of blunt force trauma.

Ja’Mya Shelton died in September 2013. At the time, her death was linked to an undetermined form of asphyxiation, but investigators took another look after Jordan’s death. Shelton-Randolph was charged with murder, but that case earlier was dismissed after a judge ruled there wasn’t enough evidence.
