PRATTVILLE, Ala. (AP) - A former Chilton County Sheriff’s Office deputy and teacher has pleaded guilty to half a dozen child sex charges.

The Montgomery Advertiser reports (https://on.mgmadv.com/1OwLvOM) 41-year-old David Lee Hubbard pleaded guilty Monday to four counts of a school employee engaging in a sex act with a student under the age of 19, one count of enticing a child for immoral purposes and one count of child rape in the second degree.

Hubbard’s victims included five teenage girls and one teenage boy. District Attorney Randall Houston says he’s glad that now, the victims won’t have to testify in a trial.

The state’s recommending a sentence of 20 years for each charge, to run concurrently. Sentencing is set for Jan. 10.
