CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - A former West Virginia state trooper has been sentenced to two years and six months in federal prison for distributing oxymorphone.

Forty-three-year-old Christopher Lee Saunders of Beckley was sentenced Wednesday in federal court in Charleston.

According to court records, Saunders admitted selling oxymorphone in a grocery store parking lot to a confidential informant who was working with law enforcement last January.
