COILUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Republican presidential contender Ben Carson is visiting South Carolina for a number of campaign appearances.

Carson begins the day Wednesday with a town hall meeting at noon at Sun City Carolina Lakes in Fort Mill. His next stop is in Rock Hill, where he holds a town hall at Winthrop University, beginning at 1:45 p.m.

The campaign then heads to Spartanburg. His first appearance there is a news conference and what’s being called an evangelical roll out at the Upward Sports/Star Center. It’s scheduled to start at 5:15 p.m.

Carson’s final appearance is at a Commander-In-Chief Presidential Forum at the Benjamin Johnson Arena at Wofford College.
