KEIZER, Ore. (AP) - Authorities say a registered sex offender has been arrested for allegedly possessing thousands of child pornography files.

KOIN-TV reports (https://goo.gl/M025Eb ) that Keizer police executed a search warrant at the home of 51-year-old Larry Lee Edwards on Nov. 19. Police had acted on cyber tips indicating Edwards had been posting pornographic images of children online.

Edwards was taken into custody without incident. He has been charged with 20 counts of first-degree encouragement of child sex abuse.

Investigators say Edwards was in possession of thousands of child porn videos and images.

Police say there is no evidence showing the suspect has abused any new victims.
