VINELAND, N.J. (AP) - The search for a missing New Jersey woman and her 3-month-old daughter ended Wednesday with the arrest of her boyfriend on homicide charges, authorities said.

Ricardo Santiago, 34, of Millville, was held in the Cumberland County jail on $1 million bail.

Santiago’s arrest came after he voluntarily went to the police station on Tuesday to answer questions about the disappearance of Neidy Ramirez, 34, and her daughter, Genesis, Vineland Police Capt. Rudy Beu said.

It was not known if Santiago has a lawyer who could comment on the charges.

Ramirez and her daughter were last seen Friday in the Vineland area after they had spent Thanksgiving with relatives.

Ramirez’s SUV was found abandoned on Route 55 on Saturday afternoon after a family friend spotted it, police said.

Police launched the investigation into her disappearance on Monday morning.

Police would only say their bodies were found in western Cumberland County. Beu would not say how they died, pending autopsy results.
