WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police are investigating a candy caper.

State Police say two thieves broke a window at a Dollar Tree in Wilmington around 11:30 p.m. on Nov. 5 and took an unknown amount of candy before fleeing.

State Police described the two suspects as between 12 and 16 years old. One of the two was last seen carrying a red or purple backpack and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, light colored pants and black sneakers. State Police say the second suspect was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, red pants, and dark colored shoes.

State Police spokesman Jeffrey Hale said in an email that “assorted types of candy” were taken.
