CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a homeless New York City man has been arrested and charged in connection with the stabbing death of a Rockland County man.

Dylan Lentini was arraigned in Clarkstown Town Court on second-degree murder charges on Tuesday.

He’s accused of killing Michael Wimbert earlier in the day and is being held without bail.

Wimbert was found in a second-floor apartment of a three-apartment home in West Nyack. The 66-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

His landlord tells the Journal News (https://lohud.us/1O3iq8N ) that Wimbert had a tendency to help people. He called him “a charitable, caring individual.”

Authorities are still investigating how the two men had met. They say Lentini told police he had been living in a homeless shelter in Manhattan.
