OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (AP) - An Ocean Springs woman has been arrested, accused of embezzling $91,000 from a man she was hired to care for.

WLOX-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1RnL5Lb ) 27-year-old Ashley Ann Bandyk was booked Tuesday with exploitation of a vulnerable adult after a month long investigation.

Police Capt. William Jackson says the crime was first reported on Nov. 2.

According to police, Bandyk was hired to help the victim in his daily routine and manage his finances, which he could not tend to because of medical conditions.

Jackson says investigators discovered Bandyk had created a PayPal account using a fraudulent business to siphon money from the man.

She was being held on a $200,000 bond at the Ocean Springs Jail. It was unknown if she has an attorney who could comment on her behalf.
