NORWALK, Calif. (AP) - Los Angeles County authorities say an armed man was shot and killed by at least one sheriff’s deputy in Norwalk.

Sheriff’s officials say deputies made a pedestrian stop Tuesday evening when two men drew guns.

An unknown number of deputies opened fire, striking one of the men. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other man, whose identity was not released, was not injured and was arrested.

Authorities did not say how many deputies were involved or how many shots were fired.

Two guns were recovered.

No deputies were injured.
