UNION, S.C. (AP) - The Union County Sheriff’s Office has made two arrests in connection to the killing of Rebecca W. Tyler.

Sheriff David Taylor tells media outlets that deputies arrested 40-year-old Ashley Dean Tyler and his girlfriend, 40-year-old Dabriada Lynn Alman, on Tuesday in connection with the Nov. 20 killing. Rebecca Tyler was Ashley Tyler’s stepmother.

Rebecca Tyler was found dead in her home by a co-worker when she didn’t show up for work. Taylor says she was found with gunshot wounds to her head, heart and abdomen.

Taylor would not discuss the motive of the shooting, but did say the motive wasn’t robbery and there was no forced entry into Rebecca Tyler’s home.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has been assisting Union County investigators in the case. The investigation is ongoing.
