CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Stephen Curry knows it would be nearly impossible for the Golden State Warriors to pull off an unbeaten season. He’s optimistic that his favorite NFL team can accomplish the feat.

When asked Wednesday who’ll lose first - the Warriors (19-0) or his hometown Carolina Panthers (11-0) - Curry replied, “My answer to that is us, but not until like February which means the Panthers get their Super Bowl win. And throw Davidson in there, too. They’re 5-0.”

Curry spoke to reporters before Golden State’s game Wednesday night against the Charlotte Hornets. The high-scoring guard grew up in Charlotte and starred at Davidson College.

Curry says Carolina’s win streak doesn’t surprise him, saying: “Being 11-0 is amazing, but they’ve shown signs that they are elevating to that next level.”
